(MUNICH, Germany – February 13, 2014) Meru Networks, Inc.® (NASDAQ:MERU) today announced that Microsoft® Deutschland GmbH has deployed Meru Wi-Fi to support Microsoft data, voice and video applications in the solutions showroom of its new office in Berlin.
“The virtual Wi-Fi architecture from Meru that supported our stand at last year’s CeBIT convinced us of the value of Meru Networks. We wanted to offer the same secure, high-performance mobile connectivity for data, voice and video applications to visitors in our new office in Berlin,” said Christoph Seitz, Microsoft Berlin Center lead in legal and corporate affairs. “The advantages of the Microsoft mobile solutions and devices are perfectly supported within the high-performance wireless infrastructure from Meru. Thus, we have created a digital environment in which visitors can experience our products seamlessly.”
The Meru Wi-Fi helps ensure that the Microsoft video and voice applications perform at their highest level during customer-facing presentations at the new facility, and also provides secure Wi-Fi access with a simple logon procedure for guests, visitors and customers on three separate floors. The network was designed and deployed by M.S. IT-Services GmbH, in conjunction with Microsoft Gold Certified Partner QSC AG.
“After working successfully with Microsoft Deutschland at CeBIT 2013 and outfitting their booth with WLAN, we were excited about a further cooperation with Microsoft at their Berlin showroom,” said Tabatha von Kölichen, regional sales manager for the DACH region at Meru Networks. “With the mutual assistance of our partners M.S. IT-Services GmbH and QSC AG, we were able to meet the challenges we faced on site. We made possible secure WLAN access for Microsoft's guests, customers and visitors, as well as a restricted, high-availability network for product presentations.”
